Program Director and Teacher Helena Beça (Child Development Supervisor – 459817) has been in our program since the 1992/93 school year. With a background in administration and foreign languages, she has committed herself to the early childhood field and graduated with distinction from MacEwan University. Her work experiences at the University’s Demonstration Daycare, the Brain Injury Unit at the Glenrose Hospital and as a volunteer at a women’s shelter, have broadened and enriched her life. Helena is also a specialist in the caring and handling of infants and children with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) and worked part-time with Post Natal Care for eight years.
Helena served on the Board of the Edmonton Preschool Association (now NAPTA) as President, VP and Speaker Coordinator for the Conference Committee (1998/2013). She developed their first website and a member database to improve and update communication among preschools. She attends the annual Childcare Conference at MacEwan University, seminars and workshops in the early education field. She has an up to date Food Handling Permit from Alberta Health Services, certification in First Aid in Child Care, Infant and Adult CPR from St. John Ambulance and a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
Teacher Assistant Beverly Morrison started with our program in the 2014/2015 school year and has many years of experience in the early childhood field. She is committed, diligent and hardworking. Beverly has built long lasting relationships with our families and truly enjoys being with children.
Beverly attends the annual Childcare Conference at MacEwan University. She has up to date certification in First Aid in Child Care, Infant and Adult CPR from St. John Ambulance and a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
